To provide staff training, both the main Līhu‘e Division of Motor Vehicles office and the new Kapa‘a satellite office will be closed Oct. 8.

Both Kaua’i County Division of Motor Vehicles locations, including the main Līhu‘e office pictured here in this screenshot from a Kaua’i County video, will be closed Oct. 8 for staff training.

The Kapa‘a satellite office operates by appointment only, providing services such as motor vehicle transactions, utility payments, bus passes and tipping coupons to customers.

Driver’s license services are not available at this location.

The Līhu‘e DMV accepts appointments and walk-ins, though officials recommend scheduling an appointment beforehand. There are also kiosks around the island for fast license plate renewals.
