No tsunami threat to Hawaiʻi from 7.0 magnitude earthquake that struck Philippines

A 7.0 magnitude earthquake struck on Tuesday at 4 a.m. in Leyte, Philippines, but there is no threat of a tsunami to the Hawaiian Island or the Pacific Basin, according to the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center in Honolulu.
Leyte is an island in the Visayas group of islands in the Philippines.
The earthquake was about six miles deep.
