The County of Kauaʻi Real Property Division has launched a new online home exemption application system that will make this process more accessible, efficient and user-friendly for residents.

The new platform was developed in partnership with TrueRoll and Tyler Technologies can be used on a computer or mobile device.

In the past, residents were required to submit paper applications by mail or in person, which often led to long lines and processing delays, especially near filing deadlines. By digitizing the process, the new system streamlines applications, speeds up approvals, and provides timely updates to residents, according to a news release.

Residents can now apply from home or by scanning a QR code at the county office.
