Kaua‘i firefighters responded Sunday night to a 2-acre brush fire near Kalalea View Drive in Anahola.

The blaze was reported at 8:30 p.m., and crews had it controlled before 11 p.m.

No injuries or damages to structures were reported as of Kaua‘i Fire Department’s last update late Satruday night.

A preliminary report says firefighters from the Kapa‘a and Kaiākea fire stations along with Rescue 3, Tender 3 and Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting Services defended nearby homes from the fire in a valley by the shoreline with a thick tree line.
