Garden Isle residents are reminded that metal recycling drop-off is again available to them at all Kaua‘i County Solid Waste facilities.

However, the service is NOT available at the Kapa‘a and Līhuʻe transfer stations.

Metals recycling is, however, accepted at the Hanalei and Hanapēpē transfer stations, Kekaha Landfill and Puhi Metals Recycling Facility, located at 3951 Puhi Road.

  • Follow all instructions on site, including proper placement of white goods and scrap metal.
  • Refrigerators and freezers must be empty of all food and other items. Shelving should be disposed of with normal refuse unless made of metal.
  • Material must be no greater than 3 feet in any dimension.
