Hawai‘i Department of Transportation announces the following lane closures and road work projects for state roadways on the Garden Isle during the week of July 26 through Aug. 1.

KAUMUALI‘I HIGHWAY (HIGHWAY 50)
KĪPŪ TO ʻŌMAʻO
ROVING LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction between mile posts 2.9 and 8.7, in the vicinity of Kīpū Road and ʻŌmaʻo Road, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. July 27-Aug. 1 for striping.
KŌLOA TO LĀWAʻI
SINGLE LANE CLOSURE in either direction between mile posts 4 and 6.7, in the vicinity of Puuana Road and Maluhia Road, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. July 27-Aug. 1 for soil boring.
ROVING SHOULDER CLOSURE in either direction between mile posts 5 and 10, in the vicinity of Kāhili Road and Akemama Road, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. July 28-Aug. 1 for cutting grass around guardrail and shoulder.

RIGHT LANE CLOSURE in either direction between mile posts 8 and 9, in the vicinity of Upa Road, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. July 28-Aug. 1 for tree trimming.
KŪHIŌ HIGHWAY (HIGHWAYS 56/560)

TWO-LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction between mile posts 5.6 and 5.9, in the vicinity of Wailuā Bridge, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. July 28-Aug. 1 for bridge repair. There will be one lane of traffic open in both directions.

RIGHT LANE CLOSURE in the northbound direction between mile posts 8.9 and 9, in the vicinity of Kapaʻa Bypass Road, from 1 to 6:30 a.m. July 28-30 and Aug. 1 for cutting grass.
KALIHIWAI TO PRINCEVILLE
SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction between mile posts 24.4 and 28.1, in the vicinity of Kāhiliholo Road to Emmalani Drive, from 8 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. July 27-Aug. 1 for rumble strip installation and striping.
PRINCEVILLE TO HANALEI
SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction between mile posts 0.3 and 1.2, in the vicinity of Hanalei Plantation Road and ʻŌhiki Road, from 8 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. July 28-Aug. 1for asphalt reconstruction. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane.

SINGLE LANE CLOSURE in the Hāʻena-bound direction between mile posts 2.7 and 3.3 (Tahiti Nui and ʻAnae Road) from 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. July 28-Aug. 1 for paving and concrete work. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane.

SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction between mile posts 4.3 and 4.5, in the vicinity of Waikoko Bridge and Lumahaʻi Trailhead, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for slope stabilization of Waikoko Hillside. SINGLE LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction between mile posts 4.6 and 11.5 from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. July 28-Aug. 1 for installation of best management practices, grubbing and clearing. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane.

RIGHT LANE CLOSURE possible in either direction between mile posts 1 and 2.5, in the vicinity of Cane Road. from 4 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. today for cutting grass.
