Application period opens soon for county’s Kaua‘i Bus Pass Outreach Program
Kaua‘i County Transportation Agency will accept applications Aug. 4-18 for the 2025 outreach cycle of its Kaua‘i Bus Pass Outreach Program.

The outreach program provides assistance — through eligible Kaua‘i-based nonprofit organizations — for low-income households and people with transportation needs to get bus passes.
Applications must be submitted via the Kaua‘i County Connect online system by clicking on the Kaua‘i Bus icon, then on the Kaua‘i Bus Pass Outreach Program Application icon.
Deadline to apply is 4:30 p.m. Aug. 18.
“The outreach program helps uplift the many organizations doing impactful work across Kaua‘i,” said Kaua‘i County Transportation Agency Executive Celia Mahikoa in a release about the outreach program. “By sharing their message through our transit system, we hope to connect more residents with resources, services and opportunities that strengthen our community.”
All applications will be reviewed and scored by a selection panel.
Scoring is based on the applicant’s program information, including what service the applicant provides to the community and how many community members would benefit from the outreach program.
