Community Preparedness Forum is today at Princeville Public Library
North Shore Give is hosting a Community Preparedness Forum to provide essential information to community members about disaster preparedness.

The forum — a collaborative effort between Kauaʻi Emergency Management Agency and Community Emergency Response Team — is free to attend and slated for 4 p.m. today (July 16) at Princeville Public Library, located at 4343 c Emmalani Drive, in Princeville.
“This forum is about empowering individuals and families with the knowledge and confidence to act when it matters most,” said North Shore Give President Stefan Swanepoel in an announcement for the forum.
Those who attend will:
- Learn about emergency communication options when internet and cell infrastructure are unavailable.
- Have the chance to sign up for free cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automated external defibrillator (AED) classes.
- Discover how to create an individual emergency plan, assemble an emergency preparedness kit and implement important safety tips.
- Receive a complimentary 20-liter water storage container, while supplies last.
- Plus more.
“Preparedness starts at home, but it doesn’t end there,” Swanepoel said. “When we come together to learn and support each other, our entire community becomes stronger and safer.”
