ARDA-Hawai‘i recently donated $2,500 to Kaua‘i Community College.

The donation supports the Ho‘olei Scholarship, which provides those Kaua‘i high school students awarded with free first-year tuition at the community college — which is part of the 10-campus statewide University of Hawai‘i system — if they enroll directly after their senior year.

The scholarship will directly impact hundreds of students this year, especially since the cost of living on Kaua‘i is a significant barrier to getting a higher education.

A full year of tuition at no cost can give students a boost at the beginning of their college education to empower them to become the future leaders of Kaua‘i.

Learn more about the Ho‘olei Scholarship and how you can help Kaua‘i students who want to attend Kaua‘i Community College by visiting the college website.

ARDA-Hawai‘i is the local chapter of ARDA (American Resort Development Association), a national trade association for vacation ownership and the timeshare industry. Hawai‘i timeshare units account for 15% of the state’s visitor lodging inventory and thousands of jobs.
