Lane closures scheduled for ʻŪhā, Kauhale roads in Lāwaʻi for resurfacing work

Kaua‘i County Department of Public Works notifies the public that road closures and single-lane contraflow traffic patterns are scheduled next week for portions of two Lāwaʻi roadways, weather permitting.

  • Lane closures are planned from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. July 15 from the Ke‘o Place intersection, heading 500 feet south along ʻŪhā Road.
  • Lane closures are also planned from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. July 16 from the
  • ʻŪhā Road intersection to the asphalt pavement dead end on Kauhale Road.

These temporary traffic changes are necessary for road resurfacing work.

Electronic message boards will be posted to inform motorists.

Drivers should plan accordingly, allow extra travel time if driving through the work areas and avoid parking in the work zones.
