Kaua‘i Bus schedule adjusted for upcoming parade in Kalāheo

The Kaua‘i Bus schedule will be adjusted on May 31 to accommodate the upcoming Kalāheo Guava Country Celebration parade on May 31.

The parade, which will cause road closures in Kalāheo, is to honor Hālau Ka Lei Mokihana o Leināʻala and the 2025 Miss Aloha Hula, Jaedyn Janae Puahaulani Pavao. The closures on May 31 will be in place from 1:45 to 4 p.m.

Affected Kaua‘i Bus routes include:

Route 200 Līhu‘e-Kekaha: The Pu‘u Rd/Hokua Rd and Kalaheo Neighborhood Center stops will not be serviced at 2:14 and 3:14 p.m. Bus will go from Lawai Post Office to Eleele Nani (Laulea St.).

Route 100 Kekaha-Līhu‘e: The Kalāheo Post Office and Puu Rd/Hokua Rd stops will not be serviced at 2:01 and 3:01 p.m. Bus will go from Eleele Nani (Mahea Rd.) to Across Lawai Post Office.

Route 30 Koloa Shuttle: The Kalaheo Neighborhood Center stop will not be serviced at 2:05 and 3:05 p.m. Route will start at Brydeswood and end at Koloa Rd./Horita Rd.

Due to the parade, the following road closures will be in effect on May 31, from 1:45 to 4 p.m.:

Hokua Road: Kaumualii Highway to Pu’u Road
Pu’u Road: Hokua Road to Papalina Road
Papalina Road: Pu’u Road to Kaumualii Highway

Riders needing to transfer from the 200 or 100 to the 30 will need to disembark at the Lawai Post Office or Across Lawai Post Office bus stops.

The parade route will begin at Kalāheo Elementary School, go straight up Pu‘u Road, take a right on Papalina Road, and end at the Kalāheo Neighborhood Center.
