Young Brothers barge arriving later than scheduled at Nāwiliwili

Shipping company Young Brothers notifies the public that its barge Haʻaheo, originally slated to arrive at Nāwiliwili this morning (April 25), is behind schedule.

The vessel is now set to reach the east Kaua‘i port by noon.

Port gate hours were extended until 5 p.m. today for customer convenience to provide additional time for pickup of straightload containers only. All empty container returns must be received today by 1 p.m.

Special gate hours will also be in place Saturday (April 26) from 7 to 9 a.m. at the Nāwiliwili port for pickup of straightload equipment and refrigerated cargo only.

Cargo availability is as follows:

  • Dry and refrigerated straightload containers: Upon discharge.
  • Refrigerated loose and palletized cargo: 7 to 9 a.m. April 26.
  • Dry palletized cargo: 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. April 28.
  • Automobiles, roll-on/roll-off and dry mixed cargo: Upon notification.

“Thank you for your patience and understanding,” Young Brothers said in announceing the barge’s delayed arrival.
