Reminder: Registration for Mayor’s Youth Track Meet closes April 16

Kaua‘i Police Activities League reminds Garden Isle families and coaches the deadline to register to participate in this year’s Mayor’s Youth Track Meet for keiki in grades 6–8 is April 16.

The event, a collaboration between the Kaua‘i County mayor’s office, Island School and nonprofit ‘Iwi Kua, is scheduled for April 18 at Island School in Līhu‘e.

A variety of track and field events will be featured on the grass track, including sprints, relays, long jump, high jump and shot put, during the meet, which begins at 9 a.m.

Those who plan to participate in the meet are advised:

  • All athletes must be registered online.
  • Parents should ensure their athlete is registered under the appropriate school or club.
  • Unaffiliated athletes must create an individual profile on the registration website.
  • Coaches are responsible for verifying that team rosters are up to date and all athletes are registered prior to the deadline.
