Kauaʻi County Department of Finance Real Property Assessment Office reminds the public that the deadline for filing agricultural dedication petitions is July 1 to be considered for the upcoming 2026 assessment.

Ordinance No. 1132 repealed the outdated Agricultural Dedication program. The new petition form includes and is subject to current program standards. The program provides a Real Property Tax incentive in exchange for a 5-year commitment to commercial farming.

Those filing for new or renewal dedications must complete a new petition and comply with current guidelines.

The petition to dedicate agricultural land can be obtained online or at the Real Property Assessment Office, located in Suite A-454 at 4444 Rice Street, in Līhuʻe.
