Kaua‘i lane closures: Week of Dec. 7-13

The Hawai‘i Department of Transportation announces its weekly lane closures scheduled for the week of Dec. 7-13 for Kaua’i.

The public is reminded that schedules can change at any time without notice. All projects are weather permitting.

— KAUMUALI‘I HIGHWAY (HIGHWAY 50) —

1) ELE’ELE

Right shoulder closure in the eastbound direction, in the vicinity of Ele’ele Road and Halewili Road, from Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for sewer manhole work.

2) KEKAHA (24/7 CLOSURE)

Right lane closure possible in either direction, between mile post 24.37 to 24.46, in the vicinity of Kikiaola Boat Harbor, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for replacement of culverts. Details here.

— KUHIO HIGHWAY (HIGHWAYS 56/560) —

1) HANAMAULU

Shoulder closure possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Nuku Street and Akilolo Street, from Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for installation of Americans with Disabilities Act warning mat.

2) KILAUEA

Right lane closure possible in either direction, between mile post 19 to 20, in the vicinity of Kapuna Road and Koolau Road, from Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for grass cutting.

3) PRINCEVILLE TO HANALEI

Single lane closure possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Hanalei Plantation Road and Ohiki Road, from Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for drain line and storm manhole installations. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane.

4) PRINCEVILLE TO HANALEI

Right lane closure possible in either direction, between mile post 0 to 2, in the vicinity of Emmalani Drive to China Ditch, from Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for grass cutting.

6) WAIKOKO

Single lane closure possible in either direction, between mile post 4.6 to 4.9, in the vicinity of Waikoko Bridge and Lumahai Beach, from Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for slope stabilization. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane.

— HALEWILI ROAD (HIGHWAY 540) —

1) ELE‘ELE

Right shoulder closure in the eastbound direction, between mile post 3.7 to 3.8, in the vicinity of Iluna Street and Kaumuali‘i Highway, from Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for sewer manhole work.

— WAIMEA CANYON DRIVE (HIGHWAY 550) —

1) KOKE‘E (WEEKEND WORK)

Right lane closure possible in either direction, between mile post 2 to 4, on Saturday from 5 a.m. to 1 p.m. for grass trimming around guardrails.

2) KOKE‘E

Single lane closure possible in either direction, between mile post 11.5 to 14, from Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for repaving work. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane.
