Hawai‘i Department of Transportation announced weekly lane closures for Oct. 21-25.

— KAUMUALI‘I HIGHWAY (ROUTE 50) —

KIPU TO KŌLOA

Single lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) possible in either direction, between mile post 3.99 to 8.40, in the vicinity of Pu‘uana Road and Punee Road, on Oct. 21 through Oct. 25, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for grass cutting.

‘ELE‘ELE

Center side pocket closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) in the eastbound direction, between mile post 15.68 to 15.92, in the vicinity of Halewili Road and Waialo Road, on Oct. 21, through Oct. 25, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for sewer line replacement.

HANAPĒPĒ

Right lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) possible in either direction, between mile post 16.20 to 16.52, in the vicinity of Hanapēpē Road and Iona Road, on Oct. 21, through Oct. 25, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for tree trimming and guardrail clearing.

HANAPĒPĒ TO KAUMAKANI

Right shoulder closure on Kaumualii Highway (Route 50) possible in either direction, between mile post 17 to 18.31, in the vicinity of Lele Road and Kaumakani Road, on Oct. 21, through Oct. 25, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for grass cutting.

KAUMAKANI TO WAIMEA

Right lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) possible in either direction, between mile post 19 to 22.5, in the vicinity of Kaumakani Avenue and Alawai Road, on Oct. 23, through Oct. 25, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for guardrail repairs.

KEKAHA (24/7 CLOSURE)

Right lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) possible in either direction between mile post 24.37 to 24.46, in the vicinity of Kikiaola Boat Harbor, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for replacement of culverts. Click here for details.

— KŪHIŌ HIGHWAY (ROUTES 56/560) —

LĪHU‘E TO HANAMAULU

Single lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) possible in either direction, between mile post 0.78 to 2.5, in the vicinity of Kuene Road and Kapule Highway, beginning Oct. 21 through Oct. 25 from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for striping and sign installations.

LĪHU‘E

Right lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) in the southbound direction, between mile post 3 to 3.5, in the vicinity of Kaua‘i Beach Road, on Oct. 21 through Oct. 25, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 apm. for grass cutting.

MOLOA‘A

Right lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) possible in either direction, between mile post 18 to 21, in the vicinity of Waiakalua Street on Oct. 21 through Oct. 25, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for cutting grass.

PRINCEVILLE TO HANALEI

Single lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 560) possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Hanalei Plantation Road and Ohiki Road, on Oct. 21 through Oct. 25, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for drain line and storm manhole installations. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane.

WAIKOKO

Single lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 560) possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Waikoko Bridge and Lumahai Beach, on Oct. 21 through Oct. 22, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. for slope stabilization. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane. Click here for details.

Right lane closure on Halewili Road (Route 540) possible in either direction, between mile post 2.5 to 2.7, in the vicinity of McBride New Mill Road, on Oct. 21 and Oct. 22, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for guardrail repairs.

— WAIMEA CANYON DRIVE (ROUTE 550) —

Single lane closure on Waimea Canyon Drive (Route 550) possible in either direction, between mile post 11.5 to 14, on Oct. 21 through Oct. 25, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for repaving work. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane.

— KUAMO‘O ROAD (ROUTE 580) —

WAILUA HOMESTEADS

Single lane closure on Kuamo‘o Road (Route 580) possible in either direction, between mile post 0 to 3.9, in the vicinity of Kuhio Highway and Hawaiiana Road, on Oct. 21 through Oct. 25, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for road reconstruction and resurfacing as part of the Kuamoo Road Resurfacing project.
