Road closure scheduled in Lāwa‘i for resurfacing work

A full closure for a portion of Kua Road in Lāwa‘i is scheduled for road resurfacing work starting Oct. 10.

According to a Kaua‘i County press release, the work will continue until Oct. 11, with the closure in place from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., weather permitting, on both days. Area residents will be allowed partial access through the closure and advised that machinery and commercial vehicles will be in the work area.

Motorists are advised to make the appropriate arrangements to accommodate the road closure and allow extra time to get to destinations. During this time, no parking will be allowed in the work zones.

Flaggers will be positioned at the work zone to direct traffic.
