Ulu Street in Kapa‘a is now open, according to county officials, following the removal of an unstable portion a building that was engulfed in flames late Monday evening.

The Sept. 16 fire appears to have severely damaged Kauaʻi Marine & Mower on Ulu Street, causing an estimated estimated $1.2 million in damages. No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is currently unknown, Kaua‘i Now reported Tuesday. According to the Kauaʻi Marine & Mower website, the local business sells potentially flammable products including generators, lawnmowers, robotic mowers, water pumps, and portable engines.
