Update: Man sought by police for outstanding warrant arrested Friday
Update Sept. 13: Kaua’i police on Friday morning arrested David Higuchi without incident, the police said in a news release.
He was one of two suspects the police had asked the public for help in locating on Thursday. The other suspect, Isaiah Pongasi-Adric, 26, of Anahola, has not yet been located.
Original Story: The Kaua‘i Police Department is seeking the public’s help in locating two suspects with outstanding warrants. The public is advised to use caution and not approach either individual.
David Higuchi, 46, of Kapa‘a, is sought on a $1,100 warrant for first-degree unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle and third-degree theft. He has an additional $1,200 warrant for the offense of theft of a credit card and fraudulent use of a credit card.
Higuchi is 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighs approximately 180 pounds, has black hair, brown eyes, and a tattoo on the left forearm.
Isaiah Pongasi-Adric, 26, of Anahola, is sought on a $50,000 probation warrant and a $5,000 warrant for the offense of resisting order to stop a motor vehicle and driving without a valid license.
Pongasi-Adric is 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighs approximately 195 pounds, has black hair, brown eyes and a neck tattoo.
In addition to these warrants, both individuals are also under investigation for other ongoing criminal activities.
Police remind the public that any person who helps Higuchi or Pongasi-Adric may be subject to prosecution for criminal offenses such as Hindering Prosecution. Help includes providing money, transportation, weapons, disguise, or other means of avoiding discovery, apprehension, prosecution, or conviction.
