Costco will begin scanning membership cards before members can enter the warehouse.

Over the coming months, scanning devices will be rolled out where members must scan their physical or digital membership card by placing the barcode or QR code against the scanner.

Guests must also be accompanied by a valid member for entry. An employee will be at the door to help customers.

For those customers with inactive or expired memberships, or those who would like to sign up for a new membership can stop at the membership counter before entering the warehouse to shop.
