Noise advisory on Aug. 5 for Kalāheo Water Systems Improvement Project

The county of Kaua‘i Department of Water and contractor, Hawaiian Dredging Construction Company, Inc. will work to construct a new water storage tank for the Kalāheo Water Systems Improvement Project.

A noise advisory is planned for an early morning mobilization and operation of heavy equipment and construction work on Aug. 5, beginning at approximately 2 a.m. through 3:30 p.m., weather permitting, in the vicinity of Pu’uwai Road, Kikala Road and Po’ohiwi Road.

The early morning mobilization is being organized to eliminate traffic concerns within the neighborhood during the start of the new school year and to maintain the project’s existing schedule.

While the work is being conducted residents may experience construction related noises, vibration and an increase of equipment traveling on the road with safety protocols in place.

Hawaiian Dredging Construction Company, Inc. will resume normal working hours on Aug. 6.
