Hawai‘i Department of Transportation announced weekly lane closures from July 27 to Aug. 2. All projects are weather permitting.

— KAUMUALI‘I HIGHWAY (ROUTE 50) —

‘ŌMA‘O TO LĀWA‘I

Right lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) possible in either direction between Pune‘e Road and Piko Road, on July 29 through Aug. 2 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for grass cutting and guardrail clearing.

Right lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) possible in either direction, between milepost 17 to 18, in the vicinity of Lele Road, on July 29 through Aug. 2 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for shoulder grading.

Right lane closure on Rice Street (Route 51) in the southbound direction, in the vicinity of Ho‘olaulea Way and Paena Loop, from Aug. 1-2, from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. for guardrail repair.

Single lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Kuene Road and Kapule Highway, on July 29 through Aug. 2, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for striping and sign installations.

KAPAIA (WEEKEND/ NIGHT WORK)

Right lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) in the northbound direction, between milepost 1 and 1.1, in the vicinity of Laukini Road, from July 28-29, from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. for guardrail repair.

HANAMAULU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Single lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) possible in either direction, between milepost 2.31 and 2.59, in the vicinity of Akilolo Street and Kapule Highway, on July 28 through Aug. 2, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for striping.

WAILUA (NIGHT WORK)

Right lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) in the southbound direction, between milepost 6.61 and 6.88, in the vicinity of Kapa‘a Bypass Road and Aleka Loop, on Aug. 1-2, from 2 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. for clearing overhang and shoulder.

WAILUA (NIGHT WORK)

Right lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) in the southbound direction, between milepost 6.62 and 7.08, in the vicinity of Papaloa Road and Fernandes Road, on July 30, from 2 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. for clearing overhang and shoulder.

KEALIA TO ANAHOLA (WEEKEND/ NIGHT WORK)

Single lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Kealia Road and Aliomanu Road, on July 28 through Aug. 2, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for striping and profile grinding.

KALIHIWAI TO PRINCEVILLE (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Single lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Kahiliholo Road and Ka Haku Road, on July 28 through Aug. 2, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for highway reconstruction.

PRINCEVILLE TO HANALEI

Right lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 560) possible in either direction, between milepost 1 to 2.5, on July 29 through Aug. 1, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for grass cutting.

— WAIMEA CANYON DRIVE (ROUTES 550) —

KŌKE‘E (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Single lane closure on Waimea Canyon Drive (Route 550) possible in either direction between milepost 11.5 and 14, on July 28 through Aug. 2 from 6 p.m. to 7 a.m. for road widening and paving. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane.

— KUAMO‘O ROAD (ROUTES 580) —

WAILUA HOMESTEAD (WEEKEND/ NIGHT WORK)

Single lane closure on Kuamo‘o Road (Route 580) possible in either direction, between milepost 0 to 3.9, in the vicinity of Kūhiō Highway and Hawaiiana Road, on July 28 through Aug. 2, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for asphalt reconstruction and resurfacing.

WAILUA HOMESTEAD

Right lane closure on Kuamo‘o Road (Route 580) possible in either direction, between milepost 1 to 4.5, on July 29 through Aug. 2, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for grass cutting.

WAILUA HOMESTEAD (NIGHT WORK)

Single lane closure on Kuamo‘o Road (Route 580) possible in either direction, between milepost 1.7 to 1.9 in the vicinity of Kahawai Place, on July 31 through the morning of Aug. 1, from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. for guardrail repair.
