Kaua‘i weekly lane closures: July 13-19

Hawai‘i Department of Transportation announced weekly lane closures for July 13-19.

— KAUMUALI‘I HIGHWAY (ROUTE 50) —

KŌLOA (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) possible in either direction, between mileposts 6.6 and 6.75, in the vicinity of Maluhia Road, on Saturday, July 13 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. for community cleanup on Maluhia Road. Full closure of Maluhia Road at Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50).

KŌLOA TO LĀWA‘I

Right lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) possible in either direction, between mileposts 6.68 and 9.63, in the vicinity of Maluhia Road and Piko Road, on Monday, July 15 through Friday, July 19 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for grass cutting.

KALĀHEO TO ‘ELE‘ELE

Right lane closure on Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) possible in either direction, between mileposts 13.21 to 15.68, in the vicinity of Halewili Road, on Monday, July 15 through Friday, July 19 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for grass cutting and guardrail clearing.

HANAMAULU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Single lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) possible in either direction, between mileposts 2.31 and 2.59, in the vicinity of Akilolo Street and Kapule Highway, on Sunday, July 14 through Tuesday, July 16, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for striping.

KAPA‘ATO KEALIA (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Single lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Akia Road and Mailihuna Road, on Sunday, July 14 through Friday, July 19, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. for asphalt reconstruction and resurfacing.

KALIHIWAI TO PRINCEVILLE

Right lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Kuawa Road and Princeville Airport, on July 15 through July 19, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for grass cutting.

Single lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Kahiliholo Road and Ka Haku Road, on Sunday, July 14 through Friday July 19, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. for highway reconstruction.

PRINCEVILLE (NIGHTWORK)

Right lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) in the southbound direction, between mileposts 26 and 27, in the vicinity of Princeville Airport, on Thursday night, July 18 through Friday morning, July 19, from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. for guardrail repair.

PRINCEVILLE (NIGHTWORK)

Right lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) in the northbound direction, between mileposts 0 and 0.4, in the vicinity of Emmalani Drive and Hanalei Plantation Road, on July 15 through the morning of July 16, from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. for guardrail repair.

PRINCEVILLE TO HANALEI (NIGHTWORK)

Right lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) possible in either direction, between mileposts 0 and 1.2, in the vicinity of Hanalei Plantation Road and Ohiki Road, on Tuesday, July 16 through the morning of July 17, from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. for guardrail repair.

PRINCEVILLE TO HANALEI

Single lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) possible in either direction, in the vicinity of Hanalei Plantation Road and Ohiki Road, on Monday, July 15 through Friday, July 19, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for installation of soil anchors at the bottom of Hanalei Hill, as well as vegetation maintenance.

Right lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) possible in either direction, between mileposts 2 and 2.5, on July 17 through the morning of July 18, from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. for guardrail repair.

HANALEI (WEEKEND/NIGHTWORK)

Right lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 56) in the southbound direction, between mileposts 4 and 4.8, in the vicinity of Waikoko Bay and Lumahai Beach, on Sunday, July 14 through the morning of Monday, July 15, from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. for guardrail repair.

— WAIMEA CANYON DRIVE (ROUTES 550) —

Single lane closure on Waimea Canyon Drive (Route 550) possible in either direction between mileposts 11.5 and 14, on Sunday, July 14 through Friday, July 19 from 6 p.m. to 7 a.m. for road widening and paving. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane.
