Tree trimming, removal scheduled along portions of Waewae Road

Lane and road closures are scheduled for portions of Wawae Road in Lāwa‘i for crews to trim and remove trees growing along the roadway.

From July 22 to July 23, the contractor, Cutting-Edge Land Clearing Solutions, will be performing lane closures from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. with intermittent 15–30-minute full road closures throughout the work day.

On July 24, a portion of Wawae Road will be fully closed, from Kaumuali‘i Highway to near the vicinity of its intersection with Wawae Place, from 8 a.m. to noon and from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m.

The closures are necessary for the public’s safety and to allow Cutting-Edge Land Clearing Solutions, to do the tree-trimming work.

Motorists are advised to make the appropriate arrangements to accommodate the necessary closures and allow extra time to get to destinations. During this time, no parking will be allowed in the work zones. Flaggers will be positioned at the work zone to direct traffic.
