Portion of Kalena Park to close for construction

A portion of Kalena Park in Līhu‘e will be closed through May 13 for construction, weather permitting.

The nonprofit Group Na Lei Wili Area Health Education Center is the sub-recipient of the Community Development Block Grant and was awarded over $259,000 to be used for playground replacement, replacing the chain link fence with concrete ball barriers, and adding parking stops.

The general contractor for the project is ExerPlay.
