Surfrider Kaua‘i releases March water quality test results

This data collected by the Surfrider Foundation – a national nonprofit environmental organization – has lead the Hawai‘i Department of Health to list as polluted many sites that they do not have the capability to sample.

Through its Blue Water Task Force, which tests many local beaches and waterways on a regular basis, the Surfrider Foundation has revealed that most of Kaua‘i’s streams are polluted with human wastes from cesspools.

Geomean is the average. Anything over 130 is polluted.
