Kōkua for Maui – Shop and Show Aloha scheduled at Kukui Grove’s Small Business Saturday

The County of Kauai and its Kaua‘i Made program, along with the Kukui Grove Center, welcomes Kōkua for Maui – Shop and Show Aloha at Kukui Grove’s Small Business Saturday this weekend on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

“With the people of Maui recovering from the devastating August wildfires, Kaua‘i extends a helping hand to the Maui-based vendors who lost their businesses. Come out this weekend and show your support for local Maui businesses at Small Business Saturday,” said Mayor Derek S.K. Kawakami. “We are truly grateful to Lt. Gov. Sylvia Luke and her team for spearheading the Kōkua for Maui effort and coordinating the travel for these Maui vendors to the Garden Isle. We also wish to thank Kukui Grove for providing a venue for local retailers and supporting small businesses.”

Kōkua for Maui – Shop and Show Aloha is dedicated to uplifting Maui’s people and businesses while boosting the economy impacted by the devastating wildfires.

“Kōkua for Maui – Shop and Show Aloha is a coordinated, collaborative effort to showcase Maui’s people, products, and culture around the State,” said Lt. Gov. Luke. “We are very appreciative for the leadership and partnership of Mayor Kawakami and his team for inviting and hosting Kōkua for Maui on Kaua‘i.”

In addition to Kaua‘i’s favorite Kaua‘i Made products, the following vendors from Maui will also be on Kaua‘i sharing their talents and products:

• Gallery Rafael is selling art – the artist, Rafael Perada, is a self-taught artist from Peru living and painting on Maui.
• Maui Pineapple Store is a little boutique and snack shop in the historic Lahaina district selling pineapple and pineapple-related products.
• West Maui Sports and Fishing Supply carries top-quality sport and fishing equipment to fit all your ocean needs.
• Resurrection Knife Company LLC creates custom handmade knives using wood primarily sourced from Maui and will also provide knife sharpening service.
• Maui Grown 808, LLP specializing in plumerias, plumeria cuttings, and nursery plants, will be doing coconut leaf weaving.
• Makana Hawaii Beachwear specializes in beachwear and swimwear, including Latin style swimwear.
• Sabado Studio Gallery LLC: A family-owned Hawaiian art gallery with unique Hawaiian art that will be selling art and print on tablecloths, etc.
• Tricia Calvert Designs: Tricia has been a visual artist for over 20 years and is skilled in various mediums, including metal, oil painting, and fused glass, and will be selling art.
• Sister Companies: Nani Shells Hawai‘i – handmade ocean element jewelry & Tati Hawai‘i –Beautiful Sustainable Fashion Pareau.
