Installation of a new eight-inch water line has been completed and customers in the Ele‘ele area may now resume normal water use.

The Department of Water (DOW) has restored water services to customers on a portion fo Ele‘ele Road, Waialo Road, Okupu Street, Olali Street, Mana Olana Court, Mana Wanui Court, Port Allen Road, Aka ula Street and the Harbor Access Road in Ele‘ele.

DOW’s contractor, Goodfellow Bros. Inc., completed the tie-in of a new eight-inch water line to the existing system.

Customers are advised that when the water main is turned back on, air and or existing sediment may be mixed into the water causing it to appear white or discolored. This is normal and if it occurs customers may flush water out from an outside hose bib until water is clear.
