Kaua‘i weekly lane closures: Sept. 9-15

The Hawai‘i Department of Transportation has released weekly lane closures for Sept. 9-15.

Schedules can change at any time without further notice. All projects are weather permitting.

— KAUMUALI‘I HIGHWAY (HIGHWAY 50) —

1) PUHI TO KĪPŪ
Single lane closure possible in either direction in the vicinity of Kikowaena Street and Kīpū Road from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sept. 11-15 for grass trimming.

2) ʻŌMAʻO TO LĀWAʻI
Single lane closure possible in either direction in the vicinity of mile marker 8 and Akemama Road from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sept. 11-15 for grass trimming.

— KAPULE HIGHWAY (HIGHWAY 51) —

1) HANAMĀʻULU (WEEKEND WORK)
Right shoulder closure possible in either direction between Ahukini Road and Kūhiō Highway from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sept. 9 for grass cutting.

— KŪHIŌ HIGHWAY (HIGHWAYS 56/560) —

1) LĪHUʻE TO HANAMĀʻULU (WEEKEND WORK)
Right lane closure possible in either direction between Hardy Street and Laukona Street from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sept. 9 for replacing missing and faded pavement markers.

2) HANAMĀʻULU (NIGHT WORK)
Single lane closure possible in either direction between Kuene Road and Kapule Highway from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sept. 10 through the morning of Sept. 15 for road reconstruction and temporary striping.

3) WAILUA (WEEKEND WORK/NIGHT WORK)
Right lane closure in the northbound direction in the vicinity of South Leho Drive and the Wailua Plantation Bridge, also known as Mayor Bryan J. Baptiste Memorial bridge, from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. Sept. 9 through the morning of Sept. 10 for manhole upgrade at North Leho Drive.

4) WAILUA
Right lane closure in the northbound direction in the vicinity of South Leho Drive and the Wailua Plantation Bridge, also known as Mayor Bryan J. Baptiste Memorial bridge, from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sept. 11-12 for manhole upgrade at North Leho Drive.

5) WAILUA
Right lane closure in the northbound direction in the vicinity of South Leho Drive and the Wailua Plantation Bridge, also known as Mayor Bryan J. Baptiste Memorial bridge, from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sept. 11-15 for manhole upgrade at North Leho Drive.

6) WAILUA (24/7 CONDITION)
Right shoulder closure and narrowed lanes in the southbound direction between mile markers 5.7 and 6.7, in the vicinity of Leho Drive and Kapaa Bypass, for Kūhiō Highway improvements.

7) WAILUA (NIGHT WORK)
Two lane closure possible in either direction between Kuamoʻo Road and Kapaʻa Bypass from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sept. 10 through the morning of Sept. 15 for lane smoothness grinding and striping work.

8) KAPAʻA TO ANAHOLA
Right lane closure possible in either direction in the vicinity of mile post 9.5 Street and Ioane Road from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sept. 11-15 for grass cutting.

9) KEĀLIA TO ANAHOLA (NIGHT WORK)
Single lane closure possible in either direction in the vicinity of Mailihuna Road and Aliomanu Road from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sept. 10 through the morning of Sept. 15 for paving and striping.

10) ANAHOLA
Right lane closure possible in either direction between the vicinity of Aliomanu Road and mile post 16 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sept. 11-15 for grass cutting.

11) PRINCEVILLE (NIGHT WORK)
Single lane closure possible in either direction between Hanalei Bridge and Hanalei Plantation Road from 10:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Sept. 10-11 for slope stabilization. Click here for details.
