Kaua‘i weekly lane closures: Aug. 19-25

The Hawai‘i Department of Transportation has released weekly lane closures for Aug. 19-25. Lane closure schedules can change at any time without further notice. All projects are weather permitting.

— KAUMUALI‘I HIGHWAY (HIGHWAY 50) —

1) PUHI TO KOLOA

Right lane closure possible from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Aug. 21-25 in either direction in the vicinity of Anonui Street and Maluhia Road for grass trimming.

— KŪHIŌ HIGHWAY (HIGHWAYS 56/560) —

1) HANAMĀʻULU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Single-lane closure possible in either direction from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Aug. 20 through the morning of Aug. 25 between Kuene Road and Kapule Highway for road reconstruction and temporary striping.

2) WAILUA (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Right lane closure in the northbound direction from 8:30 p.m. to 4 a.m. Aug. 19 through the morning of Aug. 25 between South Leho Drive and Wailua Bridge for sewer manhole rehabilitation work in the left turn pocket at North Leho Drive. Motorist can use the the left turn at South Leho Drive.

3) WAILUA

Left lane closure from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Aug. 21-23 between North Leho Drive and Kuamoo Road along the Wailua Plantation Bridge (Mayor Bryan J. Baptiste Memorial Bridge) for offloading of sheet piles for Wailua Bridge repairs. 4) WAILUA (24/7 CONDITION)

Right shoulder closure and narrowed lanes in the southbound direction between mile markers 5.7 and 6.7, in the vicinity of Leho Drive and Kapa‘a Bypass, for Kūhiō Highway short-term improvements.

5) WAILUA (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Two-lane closure possible in either direction from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Aug. 20-25 between Kuamoʻo Road and Kapa‘a Bypass for lane smoothness grinding and striping work.

6) WAILUA TO KAPA‘A (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Single-lane closure possible in either direction from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Aug. 20 through the morning of Aug. 25 between Kapa‘a Bypass Road and Kawaihau Road for geotechnical borings. Traffic will be contra-flowed through the work area.

7) WAILUA TO KAPA‘A (WEEKEND WORK)

Right lane closure possible in either direction from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 19 between Kapa‘a Bypass Road and Kukui Street for grass cutting.

8) WAILUA TO KAPA‘A

Right lane closure in the southbound direction from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Aug. 21-25 between Kapa‘a Bypass Road and Wailua Alternate Road for grass cutting.

9) KEĀLIA TO ANAHOLA (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Single-lane closure possible in either direction from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Aug. 20-25 in the vicinity of Mailihuna Road and Aliomanu Road for paving and striping.

10) ANAHOLA

Right lane closure possible in either direction from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Aug. 21-25 between mile posts 16 and 18 for grass cutting.
