Public Access Room offering workshops on what to do when legislature not in session
The State of Hawai‘i Public Access Room is holding a Zoom workshop on what you can do when state legislators aren’t in session.
The Public Access Room provides the public with information, facilities, and services to assist them as they participate in the State legislative process.
This includes knowledge of how things work at the Capitol, as well as a physical location – room 401 – for use by members of the public. PAR is a non-partisan office, and there is never a fee for services.
The Public Access Room’s Zoom workshop will include tips on regrouping, the status of pending legislation, and actions you can take during the interim to try to move your issue forward. Public Access Room personnel also try their best to answer any questions you have about the legislative process and how things unfolded this last year.
The workshop will be offered twice in the coming weeks. Plan on about 45 minutes, give or take, based on questions and discussion.
