
The Kaua‘i Museum in Līhu‘e is celebrating Lei Day with two lei-making contests.
The first, the Walter and Irmalee Pomroy Contest, will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, May 1 in the Puna Ballroom at the Royal Sonesta Kaua‘i Resort.
The event honors the legacy of master lei makers Kats and Happy Tamahana.

The Keiki Lā Lei Contest will take place on Saturday, May 6 from 9:30 to 11 a.m. in the Kaua‘i Museum Courtyard.
