If you’re planning a Kalapaki Beach day later this week, you’ll need to find another place to park.

The Kalapaki Beach Drive parking lot will be closed for resurfacing work from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., weather permitting, Tuesday through Friday, March 28-31.

Pedestrians should use alternative routes around the parking lot. No parking will be allowed in the work zones. Flaggers will be on-site to help motorists and pedestrians navigate around the work zones. Access to properties will be provided.

Motorists are asked to observe and obey all traffic controls, posted signs and flaggers. Drivers should anticipate detours, lane and road closure delays and allow extra travel time while driving through the work areas.

Anyone with questions can call project contractor Maui Kupono Builders at 808-369-1800 or Todd Ozaki with Kaua‘i County at 808-241-4845.
