National Weather Service advises against hosting outdoor Thanksgiving dinners due to severe weather
A severe weather forecast has been issued for the entire state starting tonight through Thanksgiving Day.
According to the National Weather Service, a cold front will move down the Hawaiian Islands brining brief showers followed by a period of gusty winds and high surf from the northeast side.
The impacts will be island wide on Kaua‘i. NWS advises public to move any planned outdoor Thanksgiving events indoors, and postpone hanging outdoor holiday decorations as they may become damaged or airborne with these strong winds.
The high winds anticipated may cause tree damage, power outages and making driving difficult.
More information will be provided as the weather develops.
