Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center Schedules Monthly Donation Event
Do you have clothes you no longer wear? How about small furniture you no longer use? Have the keiki outgrown some of their toys?
If you answered yes to any of those questions and are looking to off-load the items, the Salvation Army has a monthly event for you.
The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center will once again be at the Kaua‘i Resource Center in Līhu‘e from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23, to host its monthly donation event.
Residents, businesses and other organizations can bring in unwanted or unneeded items for reuse, including clothing, small furniture, children’s toys, books and shoes. Clothing and textiles do not need to be in good condition. Torn or stained clothing is OK.
Ewaste, chemicals, appliances or broken items will not be accepted.
Because of health and safety concerns from heavy equipment in the area and to reduce the chance of injury to customers unloading heavy items, the Salvation Army requests the public remain in their vehicles while on-site.
The ARC also offers pick-up services to thrift stores and businesses. Call 808-241-4336 to schedule new service. For people who want home pick-up service, contact the Habitat for Humanity Restore at 808-335-6105 or RP’s Random Closet 808-346-0020.
The public is also encouraged to check with thrift stores to see if they are capable of taking donations before bringing items to the Kaua‘i Resource Center.
If you have items you want to donate, don’t wait. There will be no donation event in October.
