Hanapēpē Transfer Station Again Accepting Rubbish

Update: The county reported at 10:42 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 23, that the Hanapēpē transfer station is again accepting trash.

Original story: The county is reporting that because of a power outage, the Hanapēpē transfer station is not accepting trash at this time.

All other services are open, including green waste and metal recycling.

Updates will be given when the trash service resumes.

“Mahalo for your patience,” the county said in its notice.
