Lane Closures on ‘Akuli Street, Hanamāʻulu Road Aug. 1-12

The Department of Public Works and Goodfellow Bros. LLC., are announcing that sections of ‘Akuli Street and Hanamāʻulu Road will be under short lane closures from Aug. 1 to Aug. 12, on weekdays, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. However, with school in session, no road work will happen during peak traffic times for school drop off and pick up.

These closures are necessary for improvements to pedestrian access to the school, including new road striping and landscape improvements.

Safe walking routes for students, parents, and pedestrians will be provided.

Expect brief occasional delays. As a reminder, the speed limit is 15 mph near King Kaumualiʻi Elementary school while school is in session.
