Lane Closures Scheduled For Kawaihau Road

Construction work will require the temporary closure of portions of a Kapa‘a roadway this week.

The county Department of Public Works and Grace Pacific LLC. announced that parts of Kawaihau Road will be closed from 7 a.m.-3:30 p.m. July 11-15. Additionally, the intersection of Mailihuna, Hau‘a‘ala and Kawaihau roads will experience temporary traffic shifts.

Dates and times are subject to change depending on weather and other factors.

These closures are necessary for clear and grubbing work, roadway excavation and sidewalk construction.

Motorists should allow for extra travel time when driving near the work area and follow all construction traffic controls.

“Please exercise caution and drive slowly when commuting through the work area,” a news release from the county said.
