Watch: Keiki Get Vaccinated at KMC
For hundreds of families, the long wait to have all members of their ‘ohana vaccinated against COVID-19 ended today as Hawai‘i Pacific Health held two large-scale public vaccination clinics at Kapi‘olani Medical Center for Women & Children and Kaua‘i Medical Clinic.
Nearly 400 children ages 6 months through 11 years received either their first dose or booster shot of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine, which is being offered at HPH facilities.
To date, more than 342,000 COVID-19 vaccinations have been administered through HPH medical centers, the Pier 2 Community Vaccination Center, mobile vaccine clinics on O‘ahu and Kaua‘i, and Keiki Vax Squad events.
Based on the response of the community to this vaccination effort for Hawai‘i’s youngest keiki, HPH is offering additional dates to give more families the opportunity for their children to receive their first dose of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccination. Staff will help schedule a follow-up appointment for children’s next dose in this three-dose series.
