Lane Closures Scheduled For Sections of Kapa‘a

Construction work will require lane closure next week for some roadways in Kapa‘a.

The county Department of Public Works and Grace Pacific LLC. announced that portions of Mailihuna, Hau‘a‘ala and Kawaihau roads will be closed from 7 a.m.-3:30 p.m. June 6-9. The closures are necessary for clearing and grubbing work, roadway excavation and sidewalk construction.

Dates and times are subject to change depending on weather and other factors.

Motorists are encouraged to allow for extra travel time when driving near the work area and follow all construction traffic controls.

“Please exercise caution and drive slowly when commuting through the work area,” a news release from the county said.
