Lydgate, Salt Pond Beach Parks Open For Camping Permit Reservations

Anyone looking to camp at Lydgate and Salt Pond beach parks can now apply for permits.

The county Department of Parks and Recreation announced Monday, May 9, that camping at the two parks is now open for reservations. In addition, camping at ‘Anini and Anahola Beach Parks continues to be available.

Permit applications are available by clicking here.

The cost for permits at Salt Pond park is $3 per person per night. Hawai‘i residents and children younger than 18 years old are exempt from the fee.

Permits at Lydgate park costs $5 a day for Hawai‘i residents for 10-by-10-foot and 20-by-20-foot campsites. The price for non-residents is $25 a day for the same size campsites.

Upgrades to the camping permit registration system occurred last week. Anyone already using the online camping permit portal should review their profile to make sure their information is correct.
