Police to Host Second Coffee With a Cop of 2022
Residents of Kalāheo and surrounding communities are invited to have a cup of joe with law enforcement for a second time this year.
Join the Kaua‘i Police Department for Coffee with a Cop from 9-10 a.m. Tuesday, May 3, at Kaua‘i Coffee Company Visitor Center. Meet and greet community police officers and talk story in a casual setting.
“With our first Coffee with a Cop of the year being such a success, we look forward to bringing this great event to Kalāheo and meeting with our southside neighbors,” Police Chief Todd Raybuck, who will attend the event, said in a news release. “We really encourage people to join us and chat about your concerns and any other topics you’d like to discuss regarding your southside community, with hopes of making it an even safer place to live.”
The public is welcome to discuss topics such as crime prevention with officers one-on-one during the agenda-free event. Coffee with a Cop allows the community to meet in a relaxed atmosphere, as well as nurture a meaningful bond with police officers.
“We are here for you, and we want people to feel comfortable talking to us, which is why we host these in such a relaxing setting,” said Raybuck in the release. “Now that we are able to hold events like this again, we expect more to happen around the island in the coming months so please stay tuned to find out when we’ll be in your neighborhood.”
