Weekly Road Closures: April 9-15

The state Department of Transportation announced its weekly list of road and lane closures for April 9-15. Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice. All projects are weather permitting.

There will be no daytime roadwork scheduled on Friday, April 15 in observance of Good Friday, unless permitted. Kūhiō Highway special use lanes will not be operational.

— KAUMUALI‘I HIGHWAY (ROUTE 50) —

1) HANAPEPE (NIGHT WORK)

Single lane closure of Kaumuali‘i Highway (Route 50) in the westbound direction near mile marker 16.6, Iona Road and Puolo Road, on Wednesday evening, April 13 through Friday morning, April 15, from 8:30 p.m. to 5 a.m., for Hanapepe Bridge work. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane.

— KŪHIŌ HIGHWAY (ROUTES 56/560) —

1) WAILUA

Right shoulder closure and narrowed lanes of Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) in the southbound direction between mile markers 5.7 and 6.7, in the vicinity of Leho Drive and Kapa‘a Bypass, on Monday, April 11 through Thursday, April 14, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., for road and shoulder work.

2) KAPA‘A

Right lane closure of Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) in the southbound direction between mile markers 6.6 and 7.2, Kapa‘a Bypass and Aleka Loop, on Monday, April 11 through Tuesday, April 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., grass cutting.

3) KAPA‘A (WEEKEND/WEEKLY/NIGHT WORK)

Right lane closure of Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) in the southbound direction between mile markers 6.6 and 7.3, Kapa‘a Bypass and Kamoa Road, on Sunday evening, April 10 through Friday morning, April 15, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., for utility work.

4) KAPA‘A (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Single lane closure and lane shift of Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) possible in either direction between mile markers 6.6 and 7.8, Kapaa Bypass and Kipuni Place, on Friday evening, April 8 through Saturday morning, April 9, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., for road maintenance work. Southbound traffic will be shifted into one of the northbound lanes. North bound traffic will be merged into one lane.

5) KAPA‘A

Right lane closure of Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) possible in either direction between mile markers 6.6 and 8.4, Kapa‘a Bypass and Kukui Street, on Tuesday, April 12 through Thursday, April 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for cutting grass.

6) PRINCEVILLE

Right lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 56) in the southbound direction between mile markers 26.5 and 27.5, Anini Vista Drive and Kapaka Street, on Monday, April 11 through Wednesday, April 13, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for tree cutting.

7) PRINCEVILLE (WEEKEND/WEEKLY WORK)

Right lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 560) in the northbound direction between mile markers 1.2 and 2.5, Ohiki Road and Aku Road, on Saturday, April 9, from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and Monday, April 11 through Thursday, April 14 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for drainage clearing work.

8) WAINIHA

Single lane closure on Kūhiō Highway (Route 560) possible in both directions between mile markers 6.7 and 7.3, Wainiha Powerhouse Road and Alamihi Road, on Monday, April 11 through Friday, April 15, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for guardrail work.
