The National Weather Service issued a high surf advisory for Kauaʻi and Niʻihau starting at noon till 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 22.
Large breaking waves of 12 to 16 feet are expected along north-facing shores and eight to 12 feet along west-facing shores.
Impacts are expected to be moderate. Beachgoers should anticipate strong breaking waves, shore break,
and strong longshore and rip currents making swimming difficult and dangerous.
