Maintenance work on the truck scale at the Kekaha Landfill will require the facility to modify its operating hours one day this week.
According to a news release from the Department of Public Works Solid Waste Division, the landfill will be open from noon-4 p.m. Friday, March 4. The landfill will resume its regular hours Saturday, March 5.
The public is advised to use the Hanapēpē refuse transfer station during the half-day closure of the landfill.

The landfill’s normal operating hours are from 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m. for commercial loads and 8 a.m.-4 p.m. for residential loads. The landfill is closed for lunch from noon-12:30 p.m.
