The county is letting residents know about a slight change at the Kapa‘a transfer station.

According to a notice from the mayor’s office Thursday, Feb. 24, because of equipment issues, the Kapa‘a transfer station will only be accepting bagged trash until further notice. However, green waste, metals and other services remain open at the Kapa‘a facility.

For disposal of bulky items and construction materials, the Līhu‘e refuse transfer station is available to the public.

The county says mahalo for the public’s patience.
