Lane Closures Scheduled For Hauiki Road

Road work next week will cause a change in traffic pattern on a thoroughfare in Kapa‘a.

The county Department of Public Works and DMK & Associates announced in a news release lane closures for a portion of Hauiki Road, near the vicinity of Cane Haul Road and Olohena Road, from Feb. 22-25, weather permitting.

Work is scheduled as follows:

Single-lane closure: 7 a.m.-5 p.m. Feb. 22-23.

Full road closure: 7 a.m.-5 p.m. Feb. 24-25.

The closures are necessary to allow for cleaning, crack sealing and slurry seal of the roadway.

During these closures, a temporary detour will be available through Waipouli Road.

Motorists are advised to expect brief and occasional delays. Exercise caution and drive slowly when commuting through the work area.
