Kaua’i Quilt Show 2022 Kicks Off Today
Come see some masterpieces of quilting during the Kauaʻi Quilt Show 2022 this weekend in Līhuʻe.
The quilt show kicks off today, Feb. 11, and runs through Feb. 23. The show is open 10 a.m.-6 p.m. daily, with extended hours until 8 p.m. on Fridays.
The quilt show is being hosted in the Kauaʻi Society of Arts Gallery at Kukui Grove Center, which is located behind Longs Drugs in the center of the mall.
Admission is free.
This year’s show features a “Meet the Quilters” reception from 5-8 p.m. today. The community can come meet many of the quilters who made the quilts on display and talk story.
“We are all willing to share the stories behind the quilts and answer any questions you may have,” says an email to Kauaʻi Now announcing the event.
More than 70 locally-made quilts will be on display, many of which will be for sale. There also will be special designated donation quilts for sale, with 100% of their proceeds going to a Kauaʻi nonprofit of the buyer’s choice.
There’s even a miniature quilt display sponsored by Vicky’s Fabrics, and those who attend can vote for “Viewer’s Choice 2022.”
The 2022 show is sponsored by Kauaʻi Quilt Guild, Nene Quilters, Vicky’s Fabrics, Kapaia Stitchery and Discount Fabric Warehouse.
