Kaua‘i District Health Office Announces 197 New COVID Cases Wednesday

The state Department of Health Kaua‘i District Health Office announced 197 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday.

Today’s cases bring the number of active cases on the island to 952, with seven hospitalized, and 6,216 cumulative cases. Kaua‘i’s cumulative case count includes 6,138 confirmed locally, eight probable and 70 positive cases diagnosed elsewhere, as they received their pre-travel test results after arriving on island.

If you test positive for COVID-19, isolate yourself at home immediately and notify your close contacts. If you are a close contact, quarantine yourself at home and get tested.

Free vaccination is offered islandwide. Vaccinations are available to anyone 5 and older and are safe and effective. For details about vaccination sites, click here.
