Lane Closures Planned for Portions of Ōma‘o Road

Road repaving work on Ōma‘o Road will require lane closures on portions of the roadway next week.

Lane closures and one-way traffic along portions of Ōma‘o Road are planned from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. weekdays from Jan. 18-21. The county Department of Public Works and contractor Maui Kupuno Builders announced today that repaving work will continue during the same time frame near the Kaumuali‘i Highway intersection.

Ōma‘o Road will be closed at Kōloa Road to all northbound traffic. Only southbound traffic from Kaumuali‘i Highway will be allowed through the work zone.

Signs and flaggers will be positioned along the closure to direct traffic. During this time, no parking will be allowed in the work area.

Motorists are advised to make the appropriate arrangements to accommodate the necessary closures and adjusted traffic flow, use alternate routes and allow for extra time to get to destinations.

All work is dependent on weather and the schedule is subject to change.
